Excellent customer service! The hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating, we booked the wrong date but they helped us out with no problems. The hotel has well maintained and clean facilities, quiet and has very friendly helpful staff.
It's a new building with modern interior design and comfortable furniture. Room has two double beds with a flat tv, iron board, mini refrigerator and a office desk and chair. Mattress were firm and cleanliness was very impressive. Receptionist was very cooperative and thoughtful for switching us to ground floor in consideration of having a 2 month old baby accompanying me. A 24 hour open coffee and tea station was available with a welcoming dinning hall. Breakfast was amazing and fresh. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Would love to stay at there again and recommend everyone to do so. Thank you to Hampton Inn!
I was on a road trip and decided to take a brake at the Hampton inn thunder bay with my friends. We checked in and everything seemed alright. I have selected a room with 3 guests. When I checked in there were no extra beds to be offered and no tooth paste in the hotel washroom. I checked out the next day and everything was fine until the manager called and said that he will charge me $250 for smoking in the room. He called when we left although he said everything is good to go when we were checking out. No one smoked in the room and we stepped outside every time to smoke. We even stepped outside in the morning to get a coffee and a smoke. I told him check the cameras then he says the room smells like pot so we are charging you $250 if you like it or not we will... it went from smelling like smoke to smelling like pot. Id recommend dont go to this hotel as they cant even offer a small portion of the necessities and yet still look on how to pull more money out of your stay.The staff was friendly but for some reason the manager was very rude with us although we didnt break any rules of the hotel.
Easily the best hotel in Thunder Bay and even the surrounding area. Start your day off with an amazing complimentary breakfast that will start your day off right. The staff is some of the best I've ever had and the beds are extremely comfortable. Needless to say, the Hampton is the best hotel in Thunder Bay.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were new and fresh looking. Breakfast was great and the location was near the airport which was convenient (they offer a free shuttle that just takes a few minutes to arrive). My biggest complaint is the bathroom door! It's a sliding barn-style door, but the gap is like 2 inches so there is ZERO sound proofing. This can be very awkward! I don't know what they were thinking.
